Philadelphia singer/songwriter and regular Delaware performer Robert Hazard died Tuesday, less than three weeks after co-headlining the Arden Summer Music Festival.
He died of complications from pancreatic cancer.

Not only did Luke Wilson spend time in Rehoboth and Dewey beaches during his nearly two weeks in our area last month, he also hit up Mango Mike’s in Bethany Beach on July 15.

The Big Wheel Pub Crawl came to Dewey Beach Saturday, raising $5,000 for Team Dash for the Cure who will be partake in the Breast Cancer 3 Day event in Philadelphia in October.
The same group will host a fundraising bonfire Saturday from 7-10 p.m. on the beach at Dagsworthy Street. It’s $10 a person (kids under 12 are free) and there will be complimentary hot dogs and hamburgers.

It’s almost scary that less than a day after arriving in Dewey Beach, I have a photo of Dave Grohl in town.
Here he is on the beach in Dewey Saturday afternoon.
And not only does the photo show him with a sand shovel, but there is also with a lady in a bikini.
For the record, she was not with him. She was just someone on the beach nearby.

OK, the John McCain ad comparing Barack Obama to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears was cute, but this new one is possibly the most sarcastic ad in the history of presidential elections.
